Why I Built Vaate

I have a special needs daughter who demands everything I have. Every single day. And I can't show up for her the way she needs if I'm slowly being drained by the things I can't see.

That sounds dramatic. But stay with me.

I started thinking about what I was actually putting on my body every morning. Not for an hour. All day. Against my skin, hour after hour. Conventional clothing, synthetic fabrics, chemical finishes. Things I'd never thought twice about. Until I did.

And I felt guilty. Like I'd been slowly putting poison on myself and my daughter without knowing it.

I believe clothing carries energy. Clothes made from dead, synthetic materials don't just sit on you. They take from you. Slowly draining what you have. You don't notice because it's gradual.

I wanted the opposite. Clothes that contribute to you. That work with your body. That rejuvenate instead of deplete. For me and for my family.

Vaate is that. Natural fibers first, honestly made, easy to choose. Where a small amount of elastane is unavoidable for fit and function, we use it and we tell you. But synthetics are never the default here. Natural is.
